"Opening the evening's show were street dance troupe Flawless - a group of friends from north London - who promised to be "electrifying".
"With a dance routine inspired by their new-found celebrity the besuited dancers showed off their moves to a medley of Michael Jackson hits".
"Using each other's body parts as microphones and backflipping and break dancing their way across the stage they started the final with a bang - bringing the audience to their feet for a standing ovation".
"The real winners: The judges make an entrance, with Amanda in a show-stopping Jessica Rabbit-inspired gown by designers Ralph & Russo".
"Completely Flawless: The rival street dance troupe opened the show with a Michael Jackson inspired routine".
"The judges were thrilled. Simon Cowell said they had saved their 'best for last'. "The fact that you guys aren't being talked about as possible favouties to win the competition shows the standard,' he said".
"Piers Morgan called them 'scintillating', while Amanda said they were the "creme de la creme".
"In the papers: Flawless's dance routine was inspired by their new-found fame".
"Vote for us: The Flawless crew make a cheeky plea for viewers to phone in. Following them onto the stage was a completely different act - singer Shaheen Jafargholi, aged 12, from Swansea. The schoolboy belted out The Jacksons classic Who's Loving You - a choice which showcased the strength of his voice".
"Unable to keep the smile off his face at his delight at being onstage he told And and Dec it was 'completely amazing".
"I couldn't wait to just get back out here and do it again,' he told them, adding that it was an unusual half-term. Amanda couldn't contain her delight".
"I can just tell you completely love what you're doing,' she told him. 'It was amazing, well done. Stronger and stronger every time".
"Simon and Piers referred back to the controversy over allowing children onstage after Hollie Steel's very public breakdown the previous night".
Living the dream: Shaheen couldn't keep the smile off his face as he sang The Jackson Five classic Who's Loving You
"Small boy, big voice: Simon said that Shaheen had handled himself brilliantly After that performance, you really made me realise that if you're talented, regardless of your age, and can cope with it, why should we deny you?' said Simon. You've handled yourself brilliantly. You're in with a real shot here of winning the whole thing".
"Following him onstage was fellow child star - self-taught street dancer Aidan Davis, 11, from Birmingham, who on last night's show secured the most votes from the public to complete tonight's line-up".
"Relaxed: Despite just four rehearsals Aidan Davis won praise from Amanda Wearing white jeans and a blue cardigan he danced along a moving walkway. But after just four rehearsals could he impress the judges?".
"Amanda was ethusiastic in her praise: 'You're so relaxed you're just a joy to watch. I just feel that you're a superstar waiting to happen".
"But straight-talking Simon said Aidan wasn't as good as the previous evening: 'I just don't think it had the impact it had last night".
Piers was quick to spring in: "It was better than it was last night and you are brilliant at what you do."But Aidan wiped tears from his eyes and said he was 'a bit gutted about Simon".
Comfort: Dec cuddles an upset Aidan after Simon Cowell's negative comments
"Tearful: Aidan said he was 'gutted' by the extremely honest opinion. Another youngster followed Aidan onstage - but this time the 12-year-old was accompanied by her granddad. Grand - John Neill, 76, and his granddaughter Sallie Lax, 12 from Doncaster sang A Whole New World, the theme from Disney's Aladdin".
Sallie stole the show with her wide-ranging voice, complemented by her grandfather. She told Ant and Dec: "This week, it's probably the best week of my life. I've met loads of amazing people".
"Not good enough: Grandfather and grandaughter duo Sallie and John sing A Whole New World from Disney's Aladdin".
"But Simon said their chance of winning wasn't high: 'I'm happy that you're in the final but there are more talented acts. But I love you two".
"Piers referred to John's late wife: 'Wherever your wife is watching tonight she'll be thinking 'Wow, they've got to the final of Britain's Got Talent!'
"But Amanda agreed with Simon's verdict - saying there were more deserving acts. However John said just being in the final was enough. 'It's pulled me out of a low point in my life, it really has".
Over the stage fright: Hollie Steel's nerves held out as she returned to the stage. The next child star of the night followed Sallie onstage - Hollie Steel. There was no repeat of Friday night's emotional scenes - which saw the 10-year-old perform twice after bursting into tears during her first attempt at singing Edelweiss".
"This time the schoolgirl, from Accrington, Lancashire, had lost her stage fright. And it showed - her rendition was note-perfect and flawless. Simon was unequivocal in his praise of the ten-year-old".
"It's only fair that I talk to you like you're an adult. Taking everything into account... you were fantastic. Seriously. "I was sitting on the edge of my seat. I thought you handled it brilliantly. You put yourself back in the competition, not through pity, but talent".
"Nerves of Steel: Ten-year-old Hollie gave a note-perfect performance. In a change of pace comedy dance act Stavros Flatley were next onstage. The Greek father-and-son returned to their first audition with their hilarious rendition of Lord Of The Dance".
"Shirtless and letting it all hang out, 41-year-old Andreas Demetriou and his mini-me son Michalakis, 13, thrilled the audience. They then breathlessly called out to their family - checking if they had switched on the video recorder".
"Dancing for Greece: Stavros Flatley had the audience - and Amanda - in stitches with their reinterpretation of Lord Of The Dance".
"Double act: Piers called the father-and-son double act "utter genius".Amanda said they had cut-off her blood circulation in her glamorous Ralph & Russo crimson dress."You're my favourite act. I want you to win the show,' she told them".
Simon was equally impressed: 'I thought it was utter genius. It's about how people make you feel and for whatever reason you make people feel good."Piers joined Amanda in giving them his backing - saying it would be 'hilarious" if they performed in front of the Queen".
"But Andreas had the final word: 'Simon, you've got some Greek in you, ter the dancing it was back to singing - with Shaun Smith".
"Future career: 17-year-old Shaun Smith put in an impressive performance, but was warned that he was up against some tough competition".
"Sexy, cool and vocally fantastic": Amanda praised the rugby-playing schoolboy. The 17-year-old impressed Simon, but Piers warned him there were lots of strong singers in the competition",
"But Amanda had no such hesitations."You're sexy, you're cool, you're vocally fantastic and I think you're right to think about pursuing it as a career in future".
"After Shaun came Susan Boyle who has stolen all the headlines in the past few weeks. "The unlikely singing sensation has boosted ratings in the third series of the ITV1 show and Monday night's semi-final became the most-watched episode with 15.4 million viewers".
"Magical: Susan Boyle, silenced her critics with a thrilling performance of I Dreamed A Dream from Les Miserables".
"Arms wide: Susan belts out her track, which she first performed at her audition. Last night the 48-year-old reprised the song that made her famous - I Dreamed A Dream from Les Miserables. And despite the rumours of an imminent breakdown she had no hesitations as she brought the audience - and the judges - to their feet".
"Dressed in a flowing sequinned gown she appeared to feel every word."I want to thank people at home, the people in the audience. Everybody,' she said. And she said it had been 'well worth' the pressure of the last week.'I'm among friends, am I not?' she asked".
"Breakdown rumours: Susan said the show had been well worth the pressure.
Piers said she'd had a very hard week. And he came out in her support: 'I'm not supposed to favour anyone, but you know what? Forget it".
'That to me, has been the greatest performance I have seen in this competition. You should win it."But some members of the audience booed at his comments.
Amanda added: 'You did it for Scotland and you did it for Great Britain".
"And Simon Cowell was impressed with her bravery: 'You could have walked away from this, and you could have had a lot of stuff coming your way in America. "Win or lose you have the guts to come back here tonight, face your critics and you beat them. Whatever happens, you can walk away from this with your head held high".
"Diversity: The street dancers show off their skills - and win the show. Susan would be a hard act to follow for any contestant. But she had a worthy successor in street dance troupe Diversity the eventual winners. The Essex crew, of brothers and friends, were also up against some strong competition in fellow street dancers Flawless. And they were equal to the challenge - with a eye catching performance".
"In step: Diversity won nothing but praise from the judges. And, unlike Flawless, they showcased all age-ranges - with youngsters Perri Luc Kiely, 13 and Mitchell Craske, 12, stealing the show.Simon said: "If I had to give marks tonight that would be the only performance I would give a ten to".
"Amanda agreed - but Piers backed Flawless. The final act of the night was saxophonist Julian Smith. The 39-year-old from Birmingham harked back to his very first audition with a performance of Somewhere from West Side Story".The beanie-clad former busker ended the show with a long high note".
"Ending the show: Julian Smith played Somewhere from West Side Story. He told the audience: 'I'm just so happy. I've stood backstage watching all these fantastic acts and knowing I'm the last to perform. "Piers said it was the "perfect way to end the night".
"He added: "It says everything about this show that I'd like it to say". Simon agreed: "Julian you did it, you could not have done any more. It was a brilliant choice of song. Good luck to you".
"Musical: Julian's performance, made a change from the dancers and singers who made up the rest of the show".
