"LONDON, England "CNN" Explosives experts are searching an Emirates airliner at London's Gatwick Airport following, a report of a "suspicious device" on board".
"The control tower at Gatwick Airport, the scene Sunday of a security scare involving an Emirates airliner".
"All passengers and crew were evacuated from the aircraft which landed safely at 6.48 a.m. GMT "2.48 a.m. ET" following a flight from Dubai. The plane is currently in a holding area, Sussex Police said in a statement".
"A spokesman for Emirates said a passenger had discovered a note implying a security threat 10 minutes before flight EK 011 landed".
"Upon landing all standard safety measures were immediately adopted and the passengers and crew were disembarked safely," he said".
"The aircraft is now being thoroughly inspected and the passengers are being interviewed by the local authorities. For Emirates the safety of its crew and passengers is of paramount importance."
"The airport was temporarily closed as a safety precaution but is now re-open, police said. Some flights may be slightly delayed but there are reports of no major disruptions, they added".
