"05.09.2009."Glamour model, Sophie Reade was voted the winner of Big Brother 10 last night. The Cheshire blonde, who won over fans with her down-to-earth personality, appeared stunned when told she had clinched the £71,320 prize".

"But despite the celebratory scenes 20-year-old Sophie is likely to be one of the show's last winners. Channel 4 confirmed last month that next year's 11th series would be the last, after falling ratings prompted the cancellation of the once ground breaking show".

Ratings slumped steadily as viewers tired of the format and the way many housemates cynically use it to launch a career as a celebrity".

"But last night, as Sophie emerged from the house wearing a zebra-print mini skirt, the crowds went wild as fireworks erupted above her head. Proving the bookies right, Sophie - who was known as "Dogface" for some weeks in the BB house beat Siavash Sabbaghpour and David Ramsden into second and third place respectively".

"She vehemently denied rumours she had slept with Kris, admitting she had lied to Noirin about it earlier in the show. Runner-up Siavash was evicted from the house 30 minutes earlier in a unitard, collar, cuffs, and high heels in exchange for adding £10,000 towards the Big Brother winner's prize fund".

"One of the most interesting characters in the house, a hoarse-sounding Siavash expressed his sorrow for cheating on his now ex-girlfriend Laura Cogoni with former housemate Noirin. He said: "I thought I didn't deserve to be in the final. I'm really glad I stayed now".

"Finalists: Charlie Drummond "left" and Rodrigo Lopes, are in fourth and fifth place".

Fourth place: Charlie Drummond was the second evicted last night. Apologising to his ex Laura, he added: 'I'm so sorry if you're watching. Things are really weird. Things happen".

He also pleaded for the public to be easier on Noirin, insisting she had explained her feelings for her ex since day one. He said: "There is no hard feelings toward Noirin. She did nothing wrong".

"Geordie, Charlie, 22, was stunned when host Davina McCall read out his name shortly after his flirting partner Rodrigo Lopes became the fifth place. Speaking to Davina following his eviction, Charlie said: 'I've already won. I thought I was gonna go in week five".

"The gang's all here: This year's Big Brother contestants join Davina on stage".

"Rodrigo broke down when body language expert Judy James proclaimed him as the perfect housemate. Despite weeks of flirting with Charlie, Rodrigo said: 'We're friends. We love one another, we hate one another".

"Rodrigo proclaimed his love for Britain and was wearing a Union Jack belt. He watched a video of his mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, who told him in Portuguese he "had already won".

"Single again: Irish housemate Noirin, standing beside Tom "left" tells Davina she has split up from Isaac again. Joining the finalists were all the contestants from this year's show bar Noirin Kelly's American boyfriend Isaac Stout, who only spent two days on the programme".

"Speaking to Davina on stage before the first eviction, Noirin said: 'Isaac's gone back to America. We've broken up."This year's show will be remembered for love triangles and excessive rule-breaking".

"Irish retail manager Noirin broke many hearts on the show, including Marcus, Sree, Angel and Siavash, before dumping the latter for ex-boyfriend Isaac, who entered the house on Day 56 and left hours after she was evicted".
