"El diario francés L'Equipe, comenta entre sus titulares "España no puede con las grandes". Por su parte, el argentino Olé titula "Frotó la Lampard y España lleva 30 años, sin ganar en Wembley".
"En Italia, La Gazzetta dello Sport ensalza el papel del técnico italiano Fabio Capello, en la victoria de Inglaterra. "Capello sonríe con Lampard y España se queda en el palo", señala, además de resaltar el "poco espectáculo" que se había ofrecido en el partido".
