"LaGuardia Airport's main terminal was evacuated early today after a deranged man sparked a bomb scare, authorities said".
"Hundreds of confused passengers were forced off planes and rushed out of the airport just after 5:30 a.m. when the erratic man approached security in the C Concourse and said he had explosives in his bag".
"The man "was just acting crazy," said Port Authority spokesman John Kelly."Sources said he appeared drunk".
"As luggage-toting passengers lined up along the roadway outside the terminal, cops arrested the unidentified man, and officers from the NYPD Bomb Squad searched his bag."They found a few batteries and wires, but nothing dangerous, police said".
"Police are sweeping the main terminal and have reopened it. Kelly said the C Concourse, serving United, United Express and American Eagle airlines, would remain closed as a crime scene".
