who "snap back into shape", and insists

she is in no rush to lose her baby weight".

"But Denise Van Outen is not intending to be one of them. The 35-year-old actress, who is expecting her a daughter with husband Lee Mead, 28, in May, insists she will not rush into losing weight, and will instead concentrate on being a new mother".

"Blooming Denise Van Outen insists she is planning to take her time getting back into shape after giving birth to a daughter in May".

"She said: ‘I used to run, but I prefer power-walking now I’m pregnant. I do 50 minutes, three times a week. I’m not planning on “snapping back into shape” in some ridiculous time frame after the baby is born, either. I think I’ll be exhausted enough with a new baby to look after, never mind putting myself through a punishing gym regime".

"Denise with Lee, who is looking forward to being a first-time father. 'I’m working on a health and fitness pregnancy book later on this year, which will be full of sensible advice. I’m looking forward to it".

"However, Denise admits she has been using specialist body cream to ensure her body remains stretch-mark free during the pregnancy. She laughed: 'One of my main pieces of advice to pregnant women would be to use a good stretch-mark oil or cream".

"'I slather them on poor Lee, it must be like sharing a bed with an oil slick!'. Denise is also following in the footsteps of other pregnant celebrities by designing a range of maternity clothes for Very.co.uk".

She said: 'There are some lovely maternity clothes out there, but I wanted to create something in soft, fitted jersey fabrics that show off those pregnancy curves.‘I showed the design team my favourite non-maternity pieces and worked with them to tailor the cut to make it perfect for maternity wear. It was great to get so hands-on".

"The actress, who first met husband Lee when she was a judge, and he a contestant, on talent show Any Dream Will Do, acknowledges that with celebrity parents, her daughter may well aim for fame".

She added: 'If my child said she wanted to be a performer just to be famous, that’s not the right reason. If she had a flair for it, fair enough – although I’d want her to get a
good education as well".

'I was 7 when I started dancing, but it was just the done thing then, my brother went to football and I went to ballet. It’s good for children to be physically active. 'It’s partly why I want to move to the country, there’s more space to run around in. I think kids need their freedom, that, and unconditional love. And a few Disney movies thrown in. I can’t wait!".

Denise has been using tubs of cream to ensure she doesn't get stretch marks during the pregnancy. Denise also revealed she has picked up a few tips from her maternal friends, and is keen for her baby to split her time between the family's rustic house in Kent, and London".

"She told Prima Baby magazine: ‘I love the idea of "nesting" in the countryside with my new baby, but I also think the help and support of friends and family in London will be invaluable in the early days".
